Wash the FiveFingers

Yes, you do have to wash your Vibram FiveFingers. Failure to do so will surely lead to be people not only thinking you look funny but also smell funny. I was a little nervous to toss the greatest pair of shoes I’ve owned in the wash. Most shoes I have put through the washing machine are not quite the same afterwards. To my delight, washing in cold water with a mild detergent and air drying made my VFF smell and look new again.

Wearing my VFF for the last three months has been a lot of fun as well and most importantly comfortable. It truly is like being barefoot. I have gotten a few blisters and now my feet are developing a stronger layer of skin. My calf muscles are also developing more than would have in sneakers. Going to the store wearing VFF is sure to get a few “weirdo” looks but that is okay if you are comfortable being your own person.
